Pan Seared Carrots


These carrots are the perfect side for any winter meal.


1/2 lb Organic Carrots

1/2 tsp Cumin

1/2 tsp Honey

1 tbsp Water

3 tbsp Butter

Salt & Pepper

1 tbsp Fresh Thyme

Clean the carrots extremely well, and cut the stems until the green is slightly showing.  In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.  Toss in the carrots, cumin, honey, salt, and pepper, and toss until well coated and the carrots begin to brown.  Add in the water, then cover the pan with either a lid or a plate, and turn the heat down.  Steam the carrots for about 3-5 minutes, or until fork tender.  Remove from heat and sprinkle with the thyme.  Serve and enjoy!
