Candied Pecans

This is the perfect snack during the holidays, and great to make as a gift as well.  I’ve made this recipe with both almonds and pecans, and both are delicious – great to set out during a party, or even put on a salad!


1 cup Sugar

1 tsp Cinnamon

1tsp Salt

1 Egg White

1 tbsp Water

1 lb Pecans or Almonds


Preheat the oven to 250º.  In a small bowl, combine the salt, cinnamon, and sugar.  Then, in a mixing bowl, whisk together the egg white and water until it is thick and frothy, about 3 minutes.  Combine the salt/cinnamon/sugar mix, nuts, and egg white mixture until all nuts are covered.  Spread out on a baking sheet, and bake for an hour and 15 minutes, stirring the nuts every 15 minutes.  Let cool completely, then serve or store in an airtight container for up to a week.  Your kitchen will smell amazing – enjoy!
